Being an AOP Student Rep is an opportunity to get involved in planning, contributing to and shaping the Student AOP. This is an opportunity to be the voice of your fellow students and have a chance to influence future AOP support and events for students. The AOP selects one student from each University Optometry department to represent their peers on the AOP Student Forum. The Reps have the opportunity to contribute to Student AOP social media, the AOP National ‘Eye Opener’ Conference, apply for summer work/work experience in the AOP offices London and attend the spring Student Forum weekend event in London.
Successful candidates also have opportunity to be considered for positions on the AOP Council as Student representative, Pre-Reg representative and Newly Qualified Optometrist Representative allowing them to continue their involvement with the AOP after graduation.
This section gives you more information on how to get involved and also to contact your current student rep.
